Before & After...

Here is the "secretary" piece from my childhood...My parents didn't want it so we took it and decided to repaint it and use it in our living room/parlor for my "correspondence" desk and an area to display some of my favorite pieces.

Here are the after shots....Although I plan to change the hardware soon. I have looked at Anthropologie and want to find something colorful...so I guess this isn't officially finished yet!

This painting is actually larger, and has the words, "Come sit with me and share your life..." painted around it. I antiqued it a bit and pulled some of the paint off when adding layers. It's somewhat of an experiment!

Back from Michigan...

We are back from our Lake Michigan getaway! I will begin posting some recent and not-so-recent paintings and experimenting I've done! I will also add children's art created by my children!
